gyptazy.ch is a Fediverse instance that uses the ActivityPub protocol. In other words, users at this host can communicate with people that use software like Mastodon, Pleroma, Friendica, etc. all around the world.
This server runs the snac software and there is no automatic sign-up process.
my BSDonPis is broken caused by electricity outage (apparently?). But this will not stop me. Time to refresh the sd cards. #FreeBSD #aarch64 #raspberrypi
My BSDonPis is running clusterized CouchDB now. The next thing that I need to do is to make the query accessible through my server's API. So, I can push IoT node's data to this database from everywhere. For the sake of research fund ๐
note: This is my first time running CouchDB, therefore I need to learn how this db works.
scli (#Signal cli client) for #Debian!!!! WHAT!!!
https://gitlab.com/packaging/scli/
Woo hoo! Gotta try this!
(Will it have #aarch64 support, tho????)
>> No. ๐
>>> Aaaaand I've already given up. Their #debian repo isn't signed. Nope.
#Distrobox to the rescue!!! XD

updating RPis with 1GB memory was harsh. But it was fun to do. #freebsd #raspberrypi #aarch64
The recording of the May 23rd, 2024 #bhyve Production User Call is up:

"Try root/root, or root/debian, or root/blank" edition.
We exercised a ThunderX #ARM64 / #aarch64 system with bhyve and #FreeBSD, #OpenBSD, and GNU / #Linux virtual machines, spending most of our time trying to guess the default login credentials!
15-CURRENT is largely feature-complete on an older ThunderX!
It supports up to 16 vCPUs and is exercising suspect build options in a VM with 16GB RAM.
And... I'm simply booted off of a weekly snapshot VM-IMAGE.
Do we have community related suggestions how #arm64 based systems could valuable be integrated into #BoxyBSD? Limited resources do not offer permanent VMs right now. Until thereโre more resources available this could be based on a week or month assignment (e.g. to give #ports maintainers a possibility to test on #aarch64)?!

#LibreWolf folks are you aware about some compatibility issue with #Mastodon on #aarch64?
The worker sw.js
refuses to be loaded and therefore I can't get the anything posted before the current session.
Thanks!

#amd64 offers the best support and is fast.
#arm64 is very efficient and also very fast.
#riscv is amazing & exciting (but slow with my current hw, but I can deal with it)
While amd64 & ARM64 work perfectly fine with #FreeBSD, the #RISCV hardware support (beside #qemu stuff) is still very limited. Currently, #Ubuntu and #OpenBSD work very well there.
