#BoxyBSD is finally about to launch!

But it also needs something like a self-service portal in long-term. However, for the website I stick to my self-written #manpageblog engine - I guess that fits pretty will here when it's only about serving #FreeBSD, #OpenBSD & #NetBSD.

This being said, I don't want to write a self-service portal for the web and thought about a #ssh service where you just login and can perform several actions like PTR, snapshots, system reset etc.

Currently, I only implemented the user management from an "admin" perspective. A sandbox style can be seen here:

Password: create

It's a self-written sshd alike service which communicates with the API and some other bins. Die user login can be done by pub key and pw auth. Feel free to give it a try, it's a sandbox mode on a sandbox vm.

Integrating #snac into #manpageblog... Still not quite sure how it makes sense from a UI perspective that isn't fully overloaded... And not sure if it makes sense without any user avatars. Opinions how you'd like it? This is just a first 5 minute try so don't judge it too much :P

Looks like the StarFive VisionFive 2 is the way to go for my #RISC (#RISC-V) playground! I just ordered it in a German store, now! The goal is to serve gyptazy.ch based on #manpageblog on RISC-V hardware. Free and #open software on open hardware! After using #Wordpress and mostly having updates on a daily base, it made me invent #manpageblog (https://manpageblog.org). The more complex things get, the more dangerous they get. Keep it simple…

Currently thinking about integrating a #GeminiProtocol compatible output in #manpageblog. I like to support the #GeminiProtocol and to boost more #GeminiCapsules but I don't want to "fancy stuff" to bloat the software for a feature that probably only a few ones will use.

Maybe an external converter or an add-on / plugin is the better was to go?

Do you remember Gopher? There's a modern version of it and I'm late!

you could use a static site/blog generator like #Hugo or #manpageblog and stick to GitHub pages or similar, but I can also offer you some space on my systems where you can also run a #Wordpress or similar for personal usage (tech blogging etc.) if you like. Just ping me in Matrix...
