The #prometheus node_exporter code is scarily bad in some places. I have now made it grab cpu temperature for my Raspberry Pi. The result is also scary but in a different way

Think I set up #Monit on #FreeBSD to play around with a monitoring solution to some extent. Not really using anything other than #uptimekuma at the moment.

It’s insane to see how few resources it requires to run an own instance on #snac2 for the #Fediverse. Less than 200MB for the whole instance including the OS (#FreeBSD) while running for days now. You can also clearly see when people are active and awake based on the CPU metrics.
