It's frustrating how many organisations are still using Twitter to announce important info to the public. There is no way for most people to see this info! Most people aren't on Twitter, and Twitter now requires a sign-on just to view profiles.
If you want to announce stuff to the public, the only way to make sure it's visible to everyone is to use your own website, your own blog, your own social media server. Anyone with an internet connection can see them.

Molusko is gonna start charging money new users. Charging old users for reach didn't stop the bot farms, it made it worse.
Bots are most of the premium users. And probably are the new "users" he's trying to milk.
The world's richest man is fighting over pennies, something is up.

Xitter really has become another Gab and or Truth Social, since Musk has taken over. Was on my account just now and the vast majority of xeets that I saw were from the asleep right!
Outside of contacting accounts that I can't get in touch with any other way, I really need to stop going there, for my mental health!

Das erst bereit sein für angemeldete FrühuserInnen ist plumpes Marketing, da anscheinend nur Priviligierte Zugang erhalten.

I always do small experiments on social networks, since I like to observe human behavior in different contexts. One of those experiments is to publish an opinion or reflection on X/Twitter, Mastodon, Instagram, etc. Only at Mastodon is interesting feedback generated. In other networks it happens that there is no interest in something serious or aggressive reactions are generated. Interesting to think about why it happens.

I think most of us who came from #Twitter were at least vaguely aware when we were on Twitter that our posts there were being being analyzed and monetized. For many of us, moving to the fediverse WAS opting out. Building bridging services to be opt-out rather than opt-in leaves us with a greater deal of uncertainty than we had in that situation, and leaves us dependent on the reach of accounts with ~400 followers to let us even know there's something to opt-out from.

Das "alternative" #SocialMedia, mehr oder weniger ein #Facebook mixt #Twitter Klon, ist nun (länger) im #Fediverse erreichbar. Es ist @minds 💡 und deren User haben anscheinend darüber ein Fediverse #Account.
Nun sind für mich seine #User meistens #CryptoCurrency süchtig, da es auch darüber läuft um zB Artikel und Nutzung zu zahlen, und deswegen sehr unfreundlich. Mal sehen wie es sich ergibt, deren Umfang ist eher "unspannender" #freedomOfSpeach…

Oh look it works again, thought when it wanted to access #X anonymously it didn't work anymore. Apparently it now works again like on #Twitter and you can distribute its anonym here in the #Fediverse over a #Nitter instance. It's more convenient to avoid the data collection frenzy of this #web recording for your #privacy.
